Wushu is the translated chinese term for martial arts where it involves the same discipline and teachings of any other regular martial arts (ie. shaolin kung fu), such has fight techniques and weaponry, but with added movments such has high kicks and acrobatics in order to illuminate the idea of performance. These disciplines are all taken together and combined into coreographed routines, where wushu practitioners can not only include the martial arts disciplines and techniques they learned but add their own style and movements as added "flavour".
