New Update!
Hey everyone! I'm being followed for a week to be featured in the University of Notre Dame's newest Office of Undergraduate Admissions video! Go Irish!

Born in Waldorf Maryland, Kate Johnson moved to Miami Florida at the age of 3. When she was 5, she moved to Fort Lauderdale FL, where her family currently resides. Starting violin at the age of 8, Kate Johnson was inspired to play after visiting Porkys at age 4, a restaurant in the Florida Keys, in which a violinist played the Devil Went Down to Georgia. From that moment on, Kate Johnson owned a violin. Formally taking lessons starting at the age of 8 years old, Kate has studied with some of the greatest teachers in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area, such as Tom Moore, Joan Faigen, Deena Shapiro, and was a member of the Florida Youth Orchestra from the age of 8-18, being conducted by some of the most talented musicians in the field, such as Claudio Jaffe, Marie Randel, Thomas Sleeper, Huifang Chen, and David Brubeck.
Kate also had the opportunity to be in a quartet called Aurora Strings, which allowed her to have the opportunity to meet distinguished people such as Jeb Bush, Miss Florida, Former President George W Bush, Sandra Day O'Connor, and many others. At the age of 16, Kate Johnson was selected to play in a supersized orchestra in Jamestown Virginia to celebrate the anniversary of Jamestown, in which she was featured on C-Span and interviewed by Cali Carlin of Channelone which aired the next morning to thousands of high schools in America.
At the age of 17, Kate was selected by Next Step Magazine as a "Next Step Superteen," one of fifty in the nation.
At the age of 18, Kate Johnson enrolled at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend Indiana, where she is currently a Sophomore. Not intending to make a career out of Music, Kate simply has the major for fun.

Kate is currently working on her Bachelor's in Business Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
At Notre Dame, Kate is a third-stand first violinist of the Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra, and has performed Handel's Messiah with the Notre Dame Chorale every December as a first violinist in the Notre Dame Chamber Orchestra. Kate has also been a member of the Notre Dame Folk Choir, and performs small duets with other violin majors. She currently studies violin performance under Carolyn Plummer.

katescandyshack my violin teacher I studied with all throughout high school, Tom Moore, has passed. The world has lost a wonderful man and violinist. His music lives on forever. He made me the violinist I am today. Please keep his family in your prayers. Xoxo

you should definitely do some covers on Emilie Autumn. her work is amazing, and i know you could pull it off. some specific songs you should try is Dead is the New Alive. very complicated, but you can do it. anyother one i really enjoy is By The Sword. By The Sword was made for everyone we lost in 911. please, dont judge her, because most that find her do. she has a weird style, but shes great. inbox me for more, i would be happy to help. oh, and, please make more tutorials with songs, and, if you do do some Emilie Autumn, some of her songs would be great too. thanks so much. p.s i love your work(: keep doing what you do best!
