He pretends to be cold but when she brings him a towel he latches onto her arm and drags her into the pool, the trap has been sprung. What a heel. He also uses the line about sugar on strawberries, the same line he used earlier on another female.Love the scene with Janice Rule, especially when she...

PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED
FROM 1986
The scenes with her Grandfather hit home because I remembered him from Mr. Ed when I was little and I had no idea he was still alive in '86 when I saw this film. This movie does have that nostalgia thing where boomers watch it and relate to stuff from their own pasts.

Crocker Bank "Moving"
The third Hal Riney commercial for Crocker Bank. Roger Nichols and Paul Williams wrote "We've Only Just Begun" for this campaign.
Like the friendly helpful neighbors, people were really like that once before we all became so cynical and guarded. Like the way she catches the old man snooping and stops in the middle of her heavy lifting to smile and say hi in a kind way. This commercial really strikes home with me, maybe that...

Crocker Bank "Moving"
The third Hal Riney commercial for Crocker Bank. Roger Nichols and Paul Williams wrote "We've Only Just Begun" for this campaign.
This perfectly captures how young some people once were back in '69-'70, they look like the young couples you see today, if you captured this pair in a time machine and brought them into the present they'd fit right in. Hard to believe these people are now in their 70's and we are looking at a ti...

Wow,great time capsule. Especially like the old man caught off guard planting in the median and the shots of the Space Needle. You have a good eye, did you go anywhere with that talent? Thanks for sharing.

It reminds me of the great kitchens we had in Home Ec in 1970, my school had all these great late 50's kitchens with matching GE colored appliances, one kitchen was pink and another was turquoise. Had no idea there was an original score written for this movie. It's a shame it was heavily edited for its US release. Wish I'd asked my Father before he'd died if he'd remembered seeing this film when it was shown here in '28. This must of been the Star Wars of its generation.
