If you explore the beaches on the south side of Loch Kishorn you may find the remains of a crudely built submersible diving platform. Howard Doris saved a few pounds by having it made in their workshop instead of buying one. The divers considered it so dangerous it was cut loose one night, the rope frayed with a knife to make it look like it had rubbed on a sharp rock. Those beaches used to be littered with debris from the Howard Doris site.
