I Hike Around was created to spark interest in hiking and the outdoors. Fact: 90%of the people who visit National Parks do not get out of their cars to explore.
This page will be a window on our beautiful world, and show that living even in NYC, you can still find places to hike if you know where to look.
We share our love for adventure with you and hope you will do the same with others as well.
The hike is a physical and mental journey, a way to connect with nature and God.

We hope to instill confidence into those who want to hike but feel they are unprepared or just feel they do not have enough information on the trails they wish to explore.
Hike Around believes that the ability to be self reliant is a skill set that everyone should be taught. The fact is millions of people are not. Hiking is our way of introducing this concept to people and the outdoors basically becomes our classroom
We are not hiking experts. We have been to 44 states and hiked a vast majority of them. We have been to dozens of national and state parks all across America.
We give our opinions and understand some will not agree.
We welcome infomation that we can learn from and share with others.
