I-LIVE-2-GIVE ( Back-2-School Drive Roundup) is an outreach initiative inside of Connections Fellowship Church that provides FREE school supplies to economically disadvantaged students in Collin County. We host a one day event every August for students in pre-K through 12th grade students to receive the basics needed for the start of the school year. Last year alone we were able to supply over 200 kids with shoes, hair cuts, and school supplies -- ALL at no charge.
This year our overall objective is to do it BIG by enforcing the theme "DOUBLE IMPACT" throughout the city and we are hoping to reach out to local businesses and other faith based organizations who will partner and help this year endeavor a HUGE SUCCESS! Our 2nd annual event is taking place on August 24th from 10am -- 2pm in the parking lot of Bowman Middle School. Attendees will enjoy family-friendly activities such as bounce houses, live music sponsored by the Plano Police department, food, clowns, and a host of other awesome opportunities for the community to connect with.
