Legalize prostitution. Make it healthier for everyone involved, tax the revenues, and take the abuse out of the equation. What a waste of tax dollars!

Prostitution should be decriminalized, not legalized. There's a difference.

legalizing and legitimizing prostitution would eliminate the many of the pimps and other undesirables from the equation. Of course you will still have some element of it, but the woman would be much safer it were treated as a profession with mandatory health checks and access by law enforcement to make sure the places of business are treating the workers properly. In Frankfurt Germany, prostitution is considered a lawful and taxed profession. They don't have pimps beating the girls and addicting them to drugs to keep them in the trade.
Too many holier than thou hypocrites in the US to ever make it that simple.

Just had to comment on the People are not for sale protestors. Their hypocrits. Ever gone to a job interveiw? Your selling yourself. Your selling your time, your body, and your life, in return for monetary compensation. Prostitution. We live in a free country. While I do not beleive that I will ever have the need to seek the services of a prositue, I do not beleive that the veiws and opinions of others should affects laws that inact persecution of a single person due to a religous beleif and NOT a constitutional belief.
