The Wolosi. Walasi or Volosi are remnants of archaic Romanized Celtic settlers living in Poland. In other regions they are called Vlachs, Wallachians, or Aromanians, etc. Included on this playlist is the modern Polish Celtic Band, Beltaine.
The Khorezmian language was the literary language of the Turkic empire of the Golden Horde. It used to be found in Eastern Iran....but today one finds Khorezm dance and music primarily in Uzbekistan. Khorezm is today a small province south of Karakalpaktan in western Uzbekistan. See my Karakalpa kstan playlist.
In the 1600's Portuguese colonists left their mark on Indonesian music, bringing instruments akin to the well known Hawaiian ukelele. When the Netherlands East India Company set up their colony in Indonesia, the music remained...but gradually changed over the years. Keroncong is another spelling for Krontjong.
California has about 100 known prehistoric languages, among which there are 300 dialects. In this playlist I sample Karuk, Mechoopda Maidu, Mountain Maidu, Chumash, Wintu and Winnemem Wintu, Yurok. Tolowa, Pomo, Miwok, Mohave, Cahuhilla, Tule River Yokut, Ohlone, Washoe, Paiute, Wiyot, Cabazon Cahuilla, Morongo Cahuilla, NIsenan (Southern Maidu). Acjachemen. Pit River Powwow, Chemuelevi desert music, Soboba of San Jacinto, music of the Susanville Powwow and the San Manuel Serrano Mission Indians, and last but not least the Hupa.

The Temiar and Senoi peoples of Malaya are known for their dream culture. Children are taught from an early age to remember their dreams. Dreams are discussed each day by the family groups. The tribes who neighbor the Temiar are in awe of their psychic and precognitive abilities, gained through this 'dream yoga.'
Oltenia is a region in southwestern Romania. It is sometimes referred to as Lesser Wallachia. Wallachia to the east is called Mutania. In ancient times Transylvania was considered the center of the Dacian region, while Oltenia was considered a southern part of the Dacian domains.
