28th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards
The 28th Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards were presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences on September 24th, 2007 at a black-tie ceremony at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in New York City. One thousand media industry executives, journalists, and producers attended the event which honors outstanding achievement in television journalism by individuals and programs, distributed via broadcast, cable and broadband. During the ceremony, the Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Ted Koppel, longtime ABC anchor and now Managing Editor of the Discovery Channel and Senior News Analyst at NPR.
