A new parking lot is being built. The trams will be able to go over to Splash Country once construction is complete.

Dollywood has announced a new partnership with Starr Crest Resort (located in Severville) to feature and promote their cabins as a convenient lodging option for Dollywood guests on dollywood.com. It has been rumored for a long time that Dollywood plans to open their own hotel/resort soon. Since the park is choosing to expand their partnerships with lodging companies, it is very unlikely that they will be building a hotel resort of their own anytime soon.

Dollywood is expected to make some sort of announcement sometime within the next week. The announcement may have something to do with the hotel resort that is planned or it may have something to do with possible new attractions next year. We'll soon find out. Stay tuned!

Skyzip, Dollywood's new attraction, is now open. Five zip-lines will range from 100 feet to nearly 1,000 feet, and a 100-foot-long swinging bridge will also be featured, taking riders over "an environmental and historical tour of undeveloped and unspoiled property surrounding Dollywood hosted by specially trained adventure guides." The tallest zipline is approximately seven stories high. An additional $40 fee is required to participate and will take each guest over an hour to complete the ride.

If you have been to Dollywood recently, you may have noticed that Daredevil Falls does not have any water going down the drop. The pump that moves the water to the drop has malfunctioned. The park is working to fix this problem.

It has been mentioned for a long time now that Dollywood plans to open up a resort-style hotel on the property. Park officials are currently discussing that idea and a decision could come this summer. At this time, there are no immediate plans to start construction. They are simply discussing their options and deciding if they want to proceed with the plans.

Dolly had a very busy weekend at Dollywood. On Friday, she was in the Dolly Parton Parade on the parkway in Pigeon Forge. On Saturday, she popped into the 11am Sha-Kon-O-Hey show. She performed a song or two with the Kinfolks at the Backporch Theatre. The rain stopped long enough for her to do a quick parade (the top was up on the carriage). To end the day, she appeared at the special ticketed 7pm premiere of Sha-Kon-O-Hey.

	dollypartonrocks (4 days ago) I stay out in Whears Valley in cabin's. I have stayed in many differt cabin's. But last year I stayed at Family Inns Of America Suits at Twin Malls it's the biggest one of the Family Inns Of America in Pigeon Forge. I used to stay in Maggie Valley NC and then we would drive to Dollywood and back. But I like Tennesse better than North Carliona. Do you live in The Great Smoky Mountains?

	dollypartonrocks (5 days ago) Don't worrie he is just kidding. But this is so wrong, when I was at Dollywood on May 9th and Dolly did her park tour. Well my Aunt Tanja, my nana, my grandaddy and me where standing in front of the Old Wood Cutter, and on down in front of the Showstreet Theatre is where my momma, daddy, and my sister where standing. And so Dolly come's and she didn't evan look at me because she was talking to someone else. And so she go's pass my momma, daddy, and sister and waves at them. I was like what that was suspose to be me.

I was mad because I'am not goin to go I told them I was steal our truck while I'am at the beach with my church and drive to Dollywood for a day. Because they want me to read in front of people. It want take me to long to get to Dollywood from Myrtle Beach SC ever herd of it. And yes I hate Carowinds. Everyone I go with said they love it. And I have only benn to 3 differnt theme parks. When your in Pigeon Forge where do you stay?
	dollypartonrocks (5 days ago) Oh yeah I was there in May it was my late birthday gift. Wow your lucky I have a season pass to Dollywood. And I'am scard to death of tornados I always think I'am safe when I'am in Tennessee when up on a mountain. Carowinds is one of the worst theme parks ever. Please for give me for sayin this, but the staf is rude and mean as hell. Not like the Dollywood staf everyone there is nice. Have you ever benn to Ghost Town in Maggie Valley NC?

And my sister just got tickets to see the Jonas Brother's that where $200 each. So I will be so happy when I can drive my self up there, but I don't want to rush time.

And that a whole lot of my family has benn goin to Dollywood since it was Sliver Dollar City. I have benn goin since I was born in 1995. And me and my aunt Tanja have already said we are goin to move up there and get us a job at Dollywood drivein a tram. haha
