December 2, 2008 MOONLIGHT MESSAGE
Dear Moonlight Fans,
The Moonlight blood drives are sadly coming to an end. Just one blood drive left. This all started back in February when a member put up a campaign to do a blood drive to save Moonlight. I called CBS and let them know about it, who called Warner Brothers and they thought it was great. The Red Cross got on board. Fans from all over the states, Canada, Australia, the UK, well, from ALL over started donating blood the week the show returned in April and are still donating. Alex O'Loughlin attended the drive that week in LA (remember I was supposed to go but I got pneumonia so I didn't get to meet him, damn), and then he did that Public Service Announcement for the Red Cross. All because of you guys. Then came the summer drives supported by Trevor Munson, Jason Dohring, and ending with Samantha's bake sale and Nikki's Gala with Jason, Brian White and Jordan Belfi attending. How cool is that!
I'd estimate that the blood you guys donated saved approximately 4,000 lives, and I know the first week alone $3,000 dollars was raised. Claudia's International Donation Day on September 28th raised $7,160 so that's over $10,000 people. And that is just what was reported back to me. You've raised and saved more than that. The Red Cross is so appreciative.
Snaps to Elizabeth for her dedication to this project. She and I spoke every day about what was upcoming and what needed to be done. I would also like to send big thank you's out to the others that helped out such as Gretchen, Gloria, Nikki, Samantha, Melissa, Barbara, Tracy, Ashley, Rhea, Peggy, Pat, Kim. I spoke to so many people, I apologize for those I may have missed. You've all been great.
It's a shame we couldn't save the show. We can still hope for a Moonlight Movie though.
Pictures have been posted of all of the events in the Learn More Pages of the past year if you want to live vicariously through the lucky folks that got to participate. Here's some from Nikki's Moonlight Gala.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone. Hey, what are we doing next? Mary Beth

Alex O'Loughlin on list of "50 Hottest Hunks - Ever
AOL Television has created their list of TV's 50 Hottest Hunks - Ever. Of course, they selected our Alex O'Loughlin! Woo Woo! You can not have a credible list of sexy actors without him. However, I do have an issue with them placing him at #49.
Other gentlemen keeping Alex company on the list...... Jared Leto, George Clooney, Chace Crawford, Jon Hamm, Taye Diggs, Tom Welling, Johnny Depp, Jensen Ackles, Wentworth Miller, Eric Dane, David Boreanaz, Michael Landon, Gary Dourdan, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, James Garner, Blair Underwood, Matthew Fox, Taylor Kitsch, Josh Holloway, Patrick Dempsey........
Counting Down the Sexiest Men on TV
49. Alex O'Loughlin
Shows We Loved Him On:
· 'The Shield' (2007)
· 'Moonlight' (2007-08)
Hunk Factor: The Australian native first caught TV fans' eyes as a well-intentioned, and drop-dead gorgeous, new member of the Strike Team on 'The Shield.' But he really sunk his teeth into the role of vampire/private investigator Mick St. John on CBS' short-lived drama 'Moonlight.' Despite his blood-thirsty nature, Mick fell in love with a mortal -- reporter Beth -- and was all the more endearing because he was a vamp with a conscience; he didn't hunt women, kids or innocents.
