Sanchez takes on the great Nick Bockwinkel! Pete starts of by ambushing Nick from behind. After the rough-up Nick reverse-toss Pete to the corner turnbuckle then tosses him over the top rope. With the match now in his favor Nick finishes the match with his patented "Indian Death Lock" i.e. the figure four lock. The Consummate Wrestler wins and the Sledge goes home hurting.

Big Pete Sanchez started jobbing at AWA in 1986 sporting a beard then back to mustache for his status either face or loudmouth heel which i find the latter very amusing. He then divided his jobbing time and worked at the WWF starting mid-1987. His matches with Jake 'The Snake' Roberts & Hacksaw Jim Duggan are the most enjoyable moments (there were lots of 'em back at wwf). This was a different named Sanchez wrestler and is not the same as the Pete Sanchez of WWF 70s to 83 nor is he "Pistol' Pete Sanchez of AWA. He then added the nickname 'The Sledge' during his 89-90s stay at AWA and a few at NWA then jumped back to WWF again. After that he layed low and became a pastor. Pete Sanchez rules!
one of my early fave fat heel jobbers.he's agile girth really dominates the matte in wwf good ol' days.just wished there were more posts of his matches with his ICW days.
awa.wwe, and portland's wrestling great and funny too not to mention bloated also. It was a far cry from his early appearances at wwf where he use to give Backlund a hard time. After AWA folded up he worked back into WWF but relegated to jobber status. Still he was very entertaining and will be sorely missed.
