For those who are not familiar with Arnis/Eskrima, or Atillo Balintawak in particular we also practice sparring on empty hands, knives and swords, of course sticks are the main weapons. We also emphasize that sparring is different from freestyle in which there is no specific form to follow but you are using all of what you have learned and apply what is the best offense or defense on a specific moment. We teach freestyle attacks/defense on more advanced students only for safety purposes because newer practitioners do not have the control yet, in their movements and hits. (less info)
