RC Jets and Turbines
About Me:
Do you like to fly all out fast, then choose a swept wing aircraft.
But never choose a plane that is beyond your skill level to fly. It takes lots of practice and patience before you become skilled enough for top end turbine powered jets.
A good entry level prop: Telemaster
A good high performance prop: P51
Try your hand at EDF, but don't spend to much. When you start playing with edf, you'll start dreaming of turbines and need to save that money then. You can get started in turbines for under $5,000.
If you like to build as much as fly, Zirolli has a good set of plans and will sell you short kits to build a few jets.
My Favorite Ziroli plans/short kit is the F9F Panther.
ARF: Almost Ready To Fly. Builders rarely purchases arf's. Sure, they'll purchase molded glass airframes, but that's about as far as it goes. Myself, I am a builder. Have purchased only 1 arf in the last 25 years. That is half the pleasure of this hobby.
