God tells us we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us! So, if you're having an issue believing in someone, that's okay, because you can still believe in God! Think back to your own past... were there people who believed in you? Were there people who changed your life forever because of their positive feedback and reinforcement? Teachers, parents, church members, neighbors, court officials, God? Mostly, I'm saying this, and you may not realize it, but YOU are the person that has the power to believe in someone and change their lives forever! YOU are the one who can be the wind beneath your fellow-man's wings! So, don't be a 'Jack' and believe in the people around you! God believes in them, know it's your turn to do what God has told us to do and follow His lead! God bless!

Telling that person you believe in them and what they want to be/do in his/her life and supporting them emotionally is the way to begin that journey! Many times, all it takes is one person to accept the other person for who they WANT to be viewed as! So many people out there want to be doctors, lawyers, firemen, and it's like there are those critical people in their lives who have decided they cannot. Sometimes, your support and your encouragement could be the spark in someone's dreams and motivation! You could have a far greater influence on these boxed-in people than you realize!

If you have a family member that you feel you will 'never' get along with, reasonably thinking, they probably feel the same way about you! And, if you think you will never get along with someone, that is a self-fulfilled destiny. For a man moves, acts, and chooses based on his thoughts! When I think about moving my hand to wave, I wave. And, If I think about never getting along with someone, I never get along with him/her. The odds of that relationship growing or healing is impossible unless you are willing to think sensibly!

I love this Quote by George Bernard Shaw

"The only man I know who behaves sensibly is my tailor; he takes my measurements anew each time he sees me. The rest go on with their old measurements and expect me to fit them."

I have family members who do this to other family members. I have friends who do this to other friends. I have co-workers that do this to other co-workers. When 'Jack' uses the phrase "he/she will never change" is a red-flag that 'Jack' has... rigidly decided that he/she cannot grow, cannot change, cannot be anything other than the idea that 'Jack' has set into his mind. Thinking in absolutes is wrong unless you are speaking of God who truly is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Key words for absolutes: never, every, forever, only, etc. We all know that everything and everyone changes. Try NOT to change and you'll see what I mean. Think about who you were a year ago and compare that to who you are now; are you the same? Do you have the same interests, likes, dislikes, tastes, meals, ideas, wants, loves, desires, ambitions, etc??
