Sept ans auparavant, Park Bom, qui a vécu aux Etats-Unis durant 10 ans, a décidé de tout quitter pour revenir en Corée et réaliser son rêve : devenir chanteuse. Trois ans de suite, elle passera les auditions de la YG Entertainment, mais c'est à la 4e fois qu'elle sera finalement acceptée et deviendra officiellement une trainee de la YG Family. Elle est alors entraînée au chant, à la danse, au rap, au chinois et au japonais. Avant ses débuts avec les 2NE1, elle s'est fait connaître par ses collaborations avec de nombreux artistes (notamment Big Bang, Lexy et Red Roc), et sa participation au CF d'Anystar , aux côtés de Lee Hyori et Lee JunKi.Bom est également apparue dans le MV de Kim Ji Eun, "Tell me once more ".
Récemment, elle a sorti un single solo, "You and I ", composé par Teddy Park, qui a été élu "Song of the month" sur Cyworld.Cette chanson devrait figurer dans l'album des 2NE1.
