Constantly changes, but Tori Amos, Sarah McLachland, Stevie Nicks, U2, Damien Rice, Rachael Sage, Interpol, etc. are staples. But some new artists I'm enjoying include: Sia, Blue October, Faultline, the Fray, Gregory Douglass, and World Leader Pretend.
Books:
Too numerous to even attempt. I'm currently reading: No God, but God; The Lost Christianities; Two for One; Disposable People; Social Ethics; The Structure of Everday Life; Hesed; Bono in Conversations with Michka Assayas; Our Endangered Values.
I read a lot. The current reading list, doesn't even include books I need to read for work (mostly MySQL, PHP, CSS, XHTML, Unix, Mac OS X, and other computer and technology books).
I'm really into theology and understanding/verifying the history of the Bible and Jesus Christ right now. No I'm not Christian, it just interest me. Social Ethics, Social Responsibility, Social Networks, and Social Capital are long standing interests of mine as well.
