This competition occurred last May, in Movenpike in Khobar. It was for Division M (Toastmasters clubs are distributed into divisions), which is mainly Saudi Aramco clubs. This kind of competition is held in all divisions (also at the club level in most clubs), and these competitions usually start in the beginning of the year (and go forward until the international level, which actually was completed yesterday in the US). You can ask the officers of your club or area for more information. These competitions are a great chance for learning and development!
And yes, there was a female presence. A whole section of the hall was for females, and there was even one female contestant and more than one female functionary.
