I've been listening to some of your faves while I was commenting and I like Hail of Bullets "Before the Storm" and Aeon "Forgiveness Denied". I have heard of Aeon before. What genre do each of these bands fall into. Help educate me. LOL!

Oh, and feel free to make any suggestions to me about music. I do not claim to be a metal head like some people who claim they are and then know very little about it. As I said, I'm very open minded and like a chameleon when it comes to music, except for rap, pop, new/pop country. I do like old country music though. Don't laugh. It's classic and it reminds me of my parents. They both died before their time when I was still fairly young. My mom when I was 16 and my dad when I was 19, but I remember them listening to all of that as I was growing up. My brothers also exposed me to a lot of different music.
Okay, sorry for the 2 messages of my rambling on. Hahaha! Thanks for indulging me.

I haven't heard of several of the bands in your favorites list, but I do see Mastodon and Machine Head. I should ask my ex boyfriend about them. He knows all metal bands and their genres, etc. I get confused with all the different genres. I just know what sounds good to me and what doesn't. I'm a metal novice, but I'm learning. I like LOTS of different kinds of music. I'm very open minded.
I saw Mastodon on 11/08/11. It was an excellent show and the guys are really nice & friendly. I hung out with them for a little while after their show. Security whisked me away and I was like WTF did I do and the next thing you know, I'm there with the band. It was great.
