One of the primary goals of this channel is to put maximum power in the people's hands. What happens with hierarchical institutions is there's a disproportionate amount of aggressive, nasty, sociopathic people that reach positions of power. And there're polluting the public discourse. People that dominate the public discourse have a distorted view of reality and that's what I wanted to point out: that Chomsky is pointing out that the media is presenting a very distorted view of the world. There is an intellectual community of which the media are a part, which, I don't have time — I'll talk about it if you like, but it does give an extremely skewed picture of the world. What I am saying is if you take an average of human decency of the American population, people in these positions in the media are a lot more likely to be in the group with the least amount of human decency . And what I mean specifically is to refer to starting world war three as simply "an option." How dare you! You sick-minded filth that dominate our public airways! How dare you talk about starting a war, an ILLEGAL war, as simply "an option." A crime is not "an option" anymore than I can weigh my options ...

"Public education is fine but the history they teach is foul and our schools seem to be far behind other countries because of college lobbyist trying to keep info out of our kids minds. If you're for public schools make sure they teach stuff that can get them a job that pays a lot more than minimum wage, apparently people don't want to hire kids right out of high school unless its these low paying jobs."
