There are numerous early writings apart from Scripture. These non-canonical Greek writings frequently quoted passages from the Hebrew Scripture. There is no evidence that the writings of the earliest Christian congregation era used the Tetragrammaton in these quotations. Rather, these writings freely used the Greek word Kurios when quoting or alluding to Hebrew Scripture passages. The earliest of these writings would have been no more than 10 to 30 years after the last Gospel was written. It is inconceivable that within 10 to 30 years of the final writing of Scripture these corrupted writings could have freely circulated in the early Christian congregation if they contained a heresy as serious as the misrepresentation of the nature of Jesus.
It is only the Watchtower's pre-conceived heretical beliefs that are behind
the dishonest and inconsistent translation that is the New World
Translation. The New World Translation is most definitely not a valid
version of Gods Word. There are minor differences between all the major
English translations of the Bible. No English translation is perfect.
However, while other Bible translators make minor mistakes in the rendering
of the Hebrew and Greek text into English; the NWT intentionally changes
the rendering of the text to conform to Jehovahs Witness theology. The
New World Translation is a perversion, not a version, of the Bible.
The author of "Truth in Translation" concludes on page 169 :
"to introduce the name "Jehovah" into the New Testament, as the NWT does two-hundred-thirty-seven times, is NOT ACCURATE TRANSLATION by the most basic principle of accuracy: adherence to the original Greek text."

I can't understand how anyone can be so utterly blind so as not to see that 'kyrios' [lord] cannot be translated as "Jehovah". How can they claim to be a Bible-based company and at the same time in their own translation willfully, in a brazen manner, tamper the text like that?
