Hi there, sorry for my latency in replying. I used brown sugar in this recipe because, as with most chocolate chip cookie recipes, my recipe called for brown sugar. However, if you want to substitute white sugar, you can but you will also need to add 2 teaspoons molasses. Hope that answered your ...

I just made these today! They were really fun to make, the only thing I did differently was used a glaze (2 tablespoons icing sugar with 2 teaspoons water) instead of the gel to glue on the sprinkles. I would make these again for sure! :D
