Jenny Revera
Dolores Janney Rivera (July 2, 1969 -- December 9, 2012), better known as Jenni Rivera, was an American singer-songwriter, actress, television producer, and entrepreneur of Mexican heritage,[3] known for her work within the banda and norteña music genres. She began recording in 1992, and her recordings often have themes of social issues, infidelity, and relationships. Her tenth studio album, Jenni (2008), became her first number-one album in the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart in the United States. In 2010, she appeared in and produced the reality TV show Jenni Rivera Presents: Chiqas & Raq-C. She also appeared in and produced I Love Jenni starting in 2011 and Chiqas 'n Control in 2012. Her acting debut was in the film Filly Brown, scheduled to be released in 2013.

Rivera, along with six others, died in a plane crash near Iturbide, Nuevo León, México, on December 9, 2012.

Rivera was born in Long Beach, California to Pedro Rivera and Rosa Saavedra, who were illegal immigrants from Mexico. Her parents raised Rivera and her four brothers and sister in a tight-knit musical household, and her brother, Lupillo, is also a regional Mexican musician. Rivera spoke both English and Spanish fluently. Her family introduced her to traditional Mexican music, including the genres of banda, norteño, and ranchera. Her father was a bartender and businessman who created the record label Cintas Acuario in 1987, which launched the career of Mexican singer/songwriter Chalino Sánchez.

Rivera earned straight As through her sophomore year in high school. During her sophomore year at age fifteen, she became pregnant with the first of her five children. Rivera sold CDs at flea markets to support herself and her child, Janney "Chiquis" Marin Rivera.[8][10] She continued her education while pregnant and after the birth of her child, earning her GED at a continuation school and graduating as class valedictorian. Speaking of her experiences as a teenage mother in 2003, Rivera explained, "Usually, when a young girl is pregnant, she drops out of school and concentrates on being a mother. I thought that's what I had to do, but my counselors told me there was no way they would let me drop out. I had too much promise."

Rivera made her first recording in 1994 as a birthday present to her father. She then made more recordings and signed to Capitol/EMI's Latin division after receiving significant airplay on Southern California radio stations.[6][8] Her first album, Chacalosa (slang for "party girl"), was released in 1995, and sold over one million copies. She then released the albums We are Rivera and Farewell to Selena independently, the latter a tribute album to Tejano music singer Selena who was murdered in 1995. She signed to Sony Music in the late 1990s and Fonovisa Records in 1999; in the same year, Rivera released her first album with Fonovisa, titled Que Me Entierren con la Banda, featuring the hit "Las Malandinas". In 2001, she released the records Dejate Amar and Se las Voy a Dar a Otro.[6] Her 2003 release Homenaje a las Grandes (in English "Homage to the Great Ones") was a tribute album to female Mexican singers including Lucha Villa, Mercedes Castro, Rocío Dúrcal, Lola Beltrán, and Alejandra Guzmán. She attained more substantial success with the record Parrandera, Rebelde y Atrevida, released in 2005, which peaked at number ten on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart.

Valeria Raquel Mazza (born February 17, 1972) is an Argentine fashion model.

She was born in Rosario, Santa Fe, and discovered when she was only 16 years old by hairstylist Roberto Giordano. She rose to fame in 1996 when she appeared on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover with Tyra Banks, Guess and presented the San Remo Music Festival in Italy. Mazza has also appeared on the covers of Glamour, ELLE, and Vogue.

On May 9, 1998 she married businessman Alejandro Gravier, with whom she has four children : sons Balthazar (b. May 29, 1999), Tiziano (b. March 12, 2002), Benicio (b. February 23, 2005) and daughter Taína (b. April 22, 2008).

Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and actress. She made her recording debut in 1990 under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, and became the first recording artist to have her first five singles top the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following her marriage to Mottola in 1993, a series of hit records established her position as Columbia's highest-selling act. According to Billboard magazine, she was the most successful artist of the 1990s in the United States.

Following her separation from Mottola in 1997, Carey introduced elements of hip hop into her album work, to much initial success, but her popularity was in decline when she left Columbia in 2001. She signed to Virgin Records but was dropped from the label and bought out of her contract the following year after a highly publicized physical and emotional breakdown, as well as the poor reception given to Glitter, her film and soundtrack project. In 2002, Carey signed with Island Records, and after a relatively unsuccessful period, she returned to the top of pop music in 2005.

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll (born February 2, 1977), known professionally as Shakira (pronounced /ʃəˈkɪərə/, Spanish: [tʃaˈkiɾa] or [ʃaˈkiɾa]), is a Colombian singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, dancer and philanthropist who emerged as a musical prodigy in the music scene of Latin America in the early 1990s. Born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia, Shakira revealed many of her talents in school as a live performer, demonstrating her vocal ability with rock and roll, Latin and Middle Eastern influences with her own original twist on belly dancing. Shakira is a native Spanish speaker and also speaks fluent English, Portuguese and Italian. She also sings in Classical Arabic.

After commercial flops with local producers on her first two albums, and little-known outside Colombia, Shakira decided to produce her own brand of music. In 1995 she released Pies Descalzos, which brought her great fame in Latin America and Spain, and her 1998 album ¿Dónde Están los Ladrones? was a critical success. Since then she has gained many fans in semi-Hispanophone countries, especially the United States, and many non-Spanish-speaking countries. In 2001, and aided by heavy promotion of the music video, "Whenever, Wherever", she broke through into the English-speaking world with the release of Laundry Service, which sold over thirteen million copies worldwide. Four years later, Shakira released two album projects called Fijación Oral Vol. 1 and Oral Fixation Vol. 2. Both reinforced her success, particularly with the most successful song in the 21st century to date, "Hips Don't Lie".[9] From October-November 2009 Shakira released her latest album She Wolf worldwide.

She has won two Grammy Awards, seven Latin Grammy Awards, and has been Golden Globe-nominated. She is also the highest-selling Colombian artist of all time, and the second most successful female Latin singer having sold over 50 million albums worldwide, according to BMI. Additionally, she is the only artist from South America to reach the number-one spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, the Australian ARIA chart, and the UK Singles Chart.

Shakira is to be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Daniela Kosán Montcourt is a Venezuelan model and television presenter born February 24, 1974 (1976 according to some sources) in Maracay.

She was a contestant in the Miss Venezuela pageant in 1997 and a major favorite for the crown behind Cristina Dieckmann; Kosan placed third in the final contest after Dieckmann and Veruska Ramirez, the eventual winner. Hereafter she represented Venezuela in the 'Nuestra Belleza Internacional' pageant where she finished up as the winner. After that, she represented her country in Miss International 1998, narrowly missing the crown; her second-place finish was attributed to the fact that the reigning Miss International, Consuelo Adler, was a fellow Venezuelan. The next year, she was the weather girl in Venevisión news shows. In 2000, she "acted" several scenes in porn, alternating with her work as hostess for Playboy Latin America.

Kosán was also known for being one of the Chicas Polar for an advertisign campaign for a brewery.

Virginie Fernandez (born 15 November 1976), known by her stage name Virginie Ledoyen (French pronunciation: [viʁ.ʒi.ni.lə.dwa'jɛ̃]), is a French actress.

She was born in Aubervilliers, Paris, the daughter of Olga, a restaurateur, and Bernard Fernandez, a merchant who sold cleaning products. Her paternal grandfather was Spanish. She was a print model from the age of 2 and later took on the stage name "Ledoyen" after the maiden name of her maternal grandmother, who had been a stage actress.

Her breakthrough came with La Fille seule (1995), for which she was nominated for a César Award for Most Promising Actress. Also she received two César Award nominations for Les marmottes (1993) and L'eau froide (1994). Outside of France, her best-known role is alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in The Beach (2000). In the fall of 2000, she signed a contract with L'Oréal as a spokesmodel with the cosmetics company. She was featured alongside two models, Laetitia Casta and Noémie Lenoir. She portrayed the character Cosette from the 2000 adaption of Les Misérables.

On 29 September 2001, she gave birth to her first child, a girl named Lila. Since July 2010 she has a son Isaac with her partner Arie Elmaleh.
