Shinohan is up and running again, go and head over there now!!! Actually... no wait, finish reading this first - but then go go go! lol

Alright, so what's currently going on with Shinohan.com (and of course this very YouTube channel)? Well for one I am sure many of you have taken notice of the fact that we don't distribute as many trailers as we used to, that's partially of YouTube being an absolute bastard (or rather its editors) in terms of "copyright infringement". Now I can see how Square Enix and the likes are bit iffy about their content if they don't have any control over it but quite frankly, if you don't let others market your material for FREE, how cheap is the advertising you PAY for? But yes this is the current situation, whenever I try to upload a trailer it basically tells me 5 mins after the upload's finished that "due to a copyright claim this video has been taken down - please review". I will try to somehow find some trailers that don't fuck around as much. If worst comes to worst I'll just have to put a filter on the video and distort the sound a bit, then at least YouTube's dirty auto video matching system won't be able to catch on.

Now some of you might ask what's actually going on here then? Well for starters we started uploading a hell of a lot of match videos of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (it's a pain to write this title...), some Soul Calibur IV matches, and even a FAKE (yes it's FAKE! READ IT, IT SAYS FAKE FAKE FAKE!!!!!) Combo Video for タツノコ VS CAPCOM (Tatsunoko VS Capcom). Be prepared to see more of this sort of stuff with Street Fighter IV and Tekken 6 BR.

Also, as of recently (very recently) I started a genuine first time play-through of FRAGILE: さよなら月の廃墟 (Fragile: Sayonara Tsuki no Haikyo) and we will continue this one to the very end. Namco's Fragile for Wii won't be the only one, but we will mainly stick to games that will be Japanese only (or at least take a long time to be localized). Having said that, please do not expect a Resident Evil 5 playthrough, I am sure channels such as Psychadelicsnake (not sure if I spelt this right... apologies if not!) or KyuuNull would do a way better job at that anyway if they are to pick it up. Final Fantasy XIII & Versus XIII will be on here though (IF they're ever gonna be released). Translations to go along with the play-through are being published on Shinohan and NOT on YouTube. A translation for Part 1 of the FRAGILE: さよなら月の廃墟 is already up on Shinohan. Alright so much for that...

[Update: 1/28/2009 - So it turns out we do put the translations up here after all, as we're taking advantage of the Closed Caption option Youtube offers, so we can subtitle our videos directly now. We have done this for FRAGILE part 1 and the new Final Fantasy XIII Gameplay Trailer already, give them a watch and don't forget to turn Closed Captioning on if it isn't running already.]

Now I want to address some certain things that people seem to falsely believe about Shinohan - we are NOT a corporate website, this much should be clear looking at the site, but it seems a lot of people don't get that. No one at Shinohan owns a Xbox 360 - I repeat NO ONE AT SHINOHAN OWNS A MICROSOFT XBOX 360! So please stop challenging one of us, be it KazuyaSasa (that's me), MrLakitu, KingOfSticks or anyone else you might find on here - we are ONLY on PSN! Again... ONLY ON PSN!!!! And on a side note we also do not play online on Wii just because it plain sucks (not the Wii itself, I love that thing - but its online functionality is about as good as a donkey trying to hump a 56k modem back in 1997)!

So currently there hasn't been much going on with Shinohan, that's mainly due to us restructuring the whole site, it's blog and everything around it. I am sure a lot of people miss the monthly Famitsu WAVE DVD translations, but rest assured we will be back, bigger and better - naturally! We will keep our Youtube channel updated, as you might have noticed. Rather than only putting trailers up I started to put up my own videos, such as online matches in Soul Calibur 4 IV as a lot of people asked for them since I am a Hilde player. Or my Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk (Dawn of the new World) gameplay (complaint!) video. So keep on checking back - We WILL have something new for you! :)
