I did a sand test a few years back with a failZero bolt carrier group and absolutely no lube. this time, I have a pretty standard direct gas Centurion Arms upper lubed with the new FireClean light weight oil/cleaner. The gun./Upper has been my go to training classes and shoot around platform and just recently has been taken out of service after 18 months and well over 15000 rounds in both semi and full auto. Centurion Arms will be doing a gauge on this barrel in the next few weeks to check on wear. as far as the sand test, this is to prove two things, a dirty DI M4 will run as long as the gun is well lubed. Of course using Fireclean gives a slight added advantage. Second thing is that USN SEAL owned Centurion Arms build a heck of a rifle.
