Super Mario Fusion: Revival is a sister fangame project to Mushroom Kingdom Fusion based on Hello Engine IV. This game will have a stronger focus on the Mario-style of gameplay.

SMF will have some crossover levels based on other game franchises. However, unlike MKF, crossover content will be kept to a minimum. The focus is Mario and company traveling to different worlds, not crossover content.

DISCLAIMER: This is a non-profit Mario fangame with some crossover elements from other game franchises. Characters remain the property and copyright of their respective owners. This fangame is in no way affiliated to or sponsored by Nintendo and other companies.
About Me:

Q. What is this game?
A. Ironically, Mushroom Kingdom Fusion began as Super Mario Fusion, which starred just Mario visiting different video game worlds. This resurrection of Super Mario Fusion is meant to be for gamers who prefer a game with a stronger focus on the Mario style of game mechanics.

Q. Why was this made when MKF is already being made?
A. JudgeSpear tried to get the MKF team to go back to the Mario style in MKF before. That did not amount to anything, so instead of trying to force change on MKF, this game was made. While it will have some crossover stuff and a few gimmicks, it will remain closer to Mario-style gameplay than MKF is now.

Q. What did you base Super Mario Fusion?
A. The latest version of Hello's Mario engine for Game Maker 8 Pro: Hello Engine IV, significantly edited to suit the requirements of SMFusion.

Q. Who will be working on Super Mario Fusion?
A. JudgeSpear will be in sole charge of what goes into Super Mario Fusion. However, other members of the MKF Team were invited to help out where necessary. The members of both teams agreed to share resources such as levels, enemies, and sounds between SMF and MKF freely. People actively contributing to SMF include Mr. D (story, level design, technical aspects), Ultimate_Gamer (levels), Captain_Cook (levels), Riverroad (levels), AuraLancer (levels, coding).

Q. Will Super Mario Fusion replace MKF?
A. Absolutely not. Super Mario Fusion will be a sister project to MKF. It will never be meant to replace or compete with Mushroom Kingdom Fusion in any way.

Q. Who will be the playable characters?
A. It will just be Mario, Luigi, and Wario as the three main playable characters. There are three unlockables: Waluigi, Peach, and Toad.

Q. Will they have the same powers as in MKF?
A. The only similarities in powerups in both SMF and MKF will be the standard powerups that Wario and Luigi have. Only two new suits are planned for the characters: a fantasy-themed suit and a sci-fi-themed suit.

Q. What gimmicks will you put into SMF?
A. The guns gimmick and a vehicle system based on Hello Engine 4's Yoshi system.

Q. What is the plot, and will it tie in with MKF's plot?
A. The plot is heavily under construction. Mr. D is assisting greatly with the plot. It will also factor in what levels get placed in each world. It will NOT tie into the plot of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. SMF will be a separate universe from MKF.

Q. What levels will go into SMF?
A. In the past, it was considered to carbon-copy levels straight from MKF into SMFR. Now, this is no longer a viable alternative because of how dramatically different the gameplay is between both games. If there will be similar levels in SMFR that are in MKF, they would have to be retooled and redesigned significantly (example being Tree Zone).

Q. What is the worlds list for SMF?
A. It is similar to MKF's world list. The most current world list and info can be found at: http://mkfusion.ipbfree.com...

Q. Why are you using non-Mario music?
A. Several reasons: we are putting together a neutral soundtrack, since the music will be used in all worlds; that's why Mario music is not being used. For example, the Athletic theme, "We Have Lee, But You Don't Have" from RO, will be played not only in World 1, but World 2, World 3, and so on. This will also keep the soundtrack size down.

Crossover levels will use unique BGM's on a case-by-case basis.

Like MKF, SMFR uses external MP3 music, so if you do not like the music, you can change it yourself.

Q. How much public contribution will you allow?
A. Visit this link for an idea of what's allowed and what's not allowed: http://mkfusion.ipbfree.com...

Great game, and good idea using Hello's Hello Engine 4. I thought you would take the new engine and add stuff from it into Mkfusion, but a separate game is good too,
