A Summer Haunting - Rachel Louise Swann (Transgender)

Hello everyone.

Why wait for Halloween when you can go to some haunted places now?

I visited three locations recently that have a lot of history, and so, a lot of potential ghosts in residence. The main location for this video centres on a Jacobean hall in Birmingham. Entry to the place used to be free when it was owned by the council, but it has since passed into the hands of a local trust, and I would have to say, is perhaps all the better for it. £4 is well worth the entry fee. I also like the fact that it isn't all 'tour based' so you can usually go around the hall at your leisure, though there are stewards in all the rooms. One of the ladies had a lengthy chat with me - when you have interaction and it is with a sense of normalcy (i.e. you are not asked why you are wearing a dress!) it does wonders for your confidence!

You can feel the history of the place as soon as you go in. Maybe that sounds rather cliched, but it is most relevant here.

I've been in there loads of times over the years, but it never fails to impress me. What is equally impressive, is how unsettling the reputed haunted areas are. I don't feel an exact 'chill' but there is definitely something strange with the great hall (the grey lady has apparently been seen loads of times in the hall itself, and seated in the chair which you'll see later in the video).

The other two locations are videos in themselves, so I'll upload them in due course.

I hope you like the video.

With love
Rachel Louise
