I got my mission call!!! I leave September 10 for Albuquerque NM to serve the Lord for 2 years!!! Oh man, I am crazy stoked about this!

So I was recently asked by an anti-mormon, if I would want to know if he could prove Joseph Smith to be false. Written below is my answer.

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. However if you can present a belief that is better than what I have, I will pay attention, but until you offer a legitimate and better replacement...please don't bother tearing mine down, because if you have nothing better to offer, why should I change when I like what I got?

If you can offer something better than a church led by a living prophet of God, through whom God speaks to his people, better than the 12 apostles, each of which is called to lead and guide those on the Earth...

My church does genealogical research so that when every soul to ever dwell on Earth would one day hear the gospel, they can then have vicarious works performed for them in the temple. If you know a place that does more of all that stuff, AND where families can be sealed together for eternity ...

If you find any church can send out 50,000 19ish year old boys to go unpaid for 2 years, paying their own way simply to preach the gospel of Christ, and its restoration, which they have been taught...

If you can find ANY program anywhere with a better capacity to provide for the poor sick needy and afflicted; If you have a church where the priesthood of God is among all worthy men, so that all can be blessed by it, in many cases performing miracles of healing, comfort, and ability, as has happened to me and my family multiple times...

If any church can promise greater blessings for paying tithing, following that crazy health code (the word of wisdom), having family night, family prayers and scripture study, or service opportunities, and a furthered knowledge of Christ, provided by the Lord through scriptures brought forward in our day and age...

If you can find me a better youth organization, a greater primary for children, or a greater women's organization than the relief society, than that of the one in my church, and if all of this is done with no paid ministry, but is done with gladness, simply for the chance to serve...

And above all, if you can find anything, anywhere where I can pray to the God of heaven and earth, and he answers me, telling me it is true, and that I need to do my best to be a part of it and to serve him, then absolutely I would want to know. I am open-minded over here, if you find me something better, and that can replace all that, I will go for it :D
