Actually give the love letter from the brat to Karane, who'll then like it, but is still doubtful about all of it because she's in love with Pipit. You report back to Pipit and right before Karane says anything, Pipit asks her out. Way to go, Pipit my man!
Solution 2:
Give the letter to the ghost hand in the night, tell the brat the good news and then visit Groose' cabin in the middle of the night, to find out our new friendly ghost hand friend has found a new love!
Both solutions give you 5 Gratitude Crystals.
