2014 Prepping Unplugged Challenge

We're announcing the 2014 Prepping Unplugged Challenge. This is our 2nd annual challenge. The reason were doing it now is because you'll have more time to complete your challenge. However you CAN NOT publicize or submit your video until June 1st 2014. Last year we had over $1,600 in cash and prizes from our sponsors and we had 5 lucky winners. We have included the links below for you to see last year's Prepping Unplugged Challenge. At this time we don't know what the prizes are but hope to exceed last year's donations.

The reason were announcing the challenge now is due to the fact that we all live in different climate's or situations that limit when you can participate in the 2014 Prepping Unplugged Challenge. We heard that was the case with a lot of you. So to give everyone an equal chance and for the viewers to gleam the most information and knowledge from these submission we extended the time in which you can actually complete your challenge to 10 months, although you won't be able to post your video response to the 2014 Prepping Unplugged Challenge until June 1-30 2014. The 2014 Prepping Unplugged Challenge is such a valuable learning tool not only for those entering but also for those watching. We preppers are a community in itself and learning from each other is our greatest asset. We hope everyone watching will participate in this challenge and help us all prepare!

What we are asking for this year is to play out your most likely scenario in a 48 hour period. Please no 48 hour long videos. Just show us the good, the bad and the ugly of your experience Is it an E.M.P., government takeover, earthquake, job loss, zombie invasion or just hiding from your in-laws. No matter the scenario NONE of us can use city water (can use bucket of water to flush) or city electricity, if you have wind, solar or generator we'd like to see that as learning experience for all. It helps us to understand if the cost outweighs the benefit of the purchase.
