When people hear our Gregorian chant a lot of them say that it is wonderful music. I want to respond: It is not only music; it is more than that: it is sung prayer, it is our praise to the Lord: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And we do that not only for us but for the whole world!
About Me:
I am a monk in the Cistercian Abbey of Stift Heiligenkreuz which is located in the Vienna Woods in Austria. We live according to the rule of St. Benedict - at least we try to.
Our monastery was founded in 1133 by Duke Leopold III - who was inspired by his son Otto.
And now it is my turn to try and inspire you.
