Surfer was one of those "friend collectors," y'know, the sort that just sent random friend requests to all and sundry (in his case, as long as you're an American!) He had hundreds. Occasionally, I get sent random friend invites from anonymous strangers; they're also usually the sort that have ridiculous amounts of "friends" (how on Earth are you supposed to keep in touch with so many, let-alone, recognise them?!)
