Welcome to the channel. While I play all generations of gaming, my preference is retro gaming. My videos will cover a wide variety of stuff from Reviews, gameplay, pickups, vlogs, archiving footage and other random stuff my kids and I decide to share from our gaming adventures.
All of my gaming videos are done with the actual games & consoles. I'm not a fan of emulation so our retro footage won't be as crisp as others who use that option.
We're not flashy or particularly good at playing some of these games but we do have fun. I guess that's all that matters to me.
My son and I playing random games live (usually badly).
Taking inspiration from Steve Benway.. I wanted to share our daily gameplays of games across tons of consoles I own. This series is just us having fun and hopefully letting some people see how the games look, sound and control.
Games played on - Nintendo Entertainment System & Hyperkin's Retron 5 Games played by - Gibby & DJGibs01 Cheats or Turbo used? - On some games, Yes. Roms used? - No! All footage will be from actual cartridges from my NES library. No PowerPak, Everdrive or PC Roms.
As I test my games out on the Retron 5 console, I wanted to archive the game footage with all of my 1,200+ NES titles. I will also be uploading many obscure homebrew, imports, hacks, unlicensed & reproduction games that aren't seen much, if at all, on youtube.
This will be a long process but fun at the same time. The goal is to let viewers see how these games look and play.
Early gameplay on more modern titles that I'm playing.
Like my "NES Files", this will be footage of more modern games "disc based era". As I play through some of these titles I will upload about 10 minutes of the early game play footage. All footage is taken from original games and consoles. No emulators.
Short gameplay trailers created from classic games as I play through them.
These trailers will all be kept under 5 min in length, yet will give viewers an idea on how the game looks, plays & sounds by the clips pulled from various portions of the game I just played.
It's a neat way to expose games I'm playing that I might not have time, or the game doesn't warrant doing a review on.
