Yes, the problem is that the song isn't exactly strenuous to sing. Like her songs don't really show much of a range, and when they do she misses out the big notes. So this vocal performance isn't that impressive.

His voice is not weak. Maybe you should have said that his voice is not as strong as some of the other contestants, but his voice is not weak. And I don't understand how this song would be one that would "make his voice sound good". It's pretty bearing, a ballad like this needs to be sung with decent vocals to be pulled off.
