I am a 45 year old nurse, mother, and breast (2009) and sarcoma (1996) cancer survivor. I was 232 lbs. in 2008 at my heaviest, when I felt a lump in my right breast. I was stressed out to the max, eating fast food loaded with sodium, fat and sugar. I was on an express train to hell. I couldn't think straight, couldn't remember things and stayed in my house whenever I wasn't at work. I was depressed and unhappy.

After my diagnosis of breast cancer, I promised myself that no doctor would cut another tumor out of my body again...I had to make changes to make keep that promise. I stopped eating fried foods, then beef, then pork, then chicken. I lost 50+ pounds. I began walking for fitness and slowly dropped down to 173 lbs. over 2.5 years time. It didn't come off fast, but it stayed off. I went from a size 22 to a size 14, inspired by Susan Powter, Dan McDonald (liferegenerator) and currently by LadyWarriorofGod, who encouraged me to transition to a raw food diet to lose the remaining 45 pounds. When I reach my goal of 130 pounds, I will have lost over 100 pounds.

I've teamed up as a client with Felicia (LadyWarriorofGod owner of 3D Optimal Health and Fitness) to help me achieve that goal.

On Staying Cancer Free:

A big part of my wellness/cancer fighting program is walking. Walking clears my mind and builds lean, strong muscle to help me burn fat. I walk anywhere from 2 to 6 miles a day, six days a week. I've lost about 2 pounds per week from walking, toning, and eating lots of fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds.

I also enjoy at least one cup of green tea a day, remember to have a grateful spirit for all that I have and work on becoming the best person I can be. Everyone is a teacher, some people are just in your life to teach you how NOT to be. They are just as important as the ones you like or love. Those who behave the least lovingly need the most love, and sometimes that means tough love, or love from a distance.

What's happening now?

As of May 9, 2011 I have taken the plunge and gone raw vegetarian. I take B12 supplements and have my labs monitored by my physician to ensure that I am not becoming anemic. RAW for me means: Restored and Well.

I am interested in juicing, spiritual subjects, fitness and relationship issues.

I also like crafting. I crochet and make wire jewelry for myself, friends and family as a hobby.

Still going strong on the 3D Optimal Living program. 5 miles walked, abs, arms and leg cardio too, seems I'm back in boot camp again, but this time, I'm loving it! It's never too late to make healthy changes.

Water is nature's beauty enhancer! For radiant skin, hair and nails: Drink lots of pure water, eat/drink: freshly juiced veggie/fruit juices, watery fruits like melons, grapes, citrus, celery (has natural salt too), cucumbers, and many more.

Day 6 of week One: Yay, food again. Grapes and more grapes, continuing the cleansing. Feel sooooo good to BITE something, lol. Fruit is the best way to break a fast.

Looking forward to trying the raw recipes from my new vegan lifestyle coach, Felicia (LadyWarriorofGod) tomorrow. I highly recommend her. She is as beautiful in spirit as she is in physical form, a shining example of what a true vegan should be.
