"I still miss her. I know she's dancing with the angels and singing in heaven's band. I think of her often, but try not to cry. I thank God she was a part of my life". ----------- Dottie West
"Her vocals sound bruised, loaded with pain and feeling. It's raw, not processed or polished. She's lived it and her hurt acts as a healer. Even though 99 percent of us never had the chance to meet her or attend one of her shows, we cling to her memory and cherish it.". -------Lisa Flood
"I had a serious bout with rheumatic fever when I was thirteen. I developed a terrible throat infection and my heart even stopped beating. The doctor put me in an oxygen tent. You might say it was my return to the living after several days that launched me as a singer. The fever affected my throat and when I recovered I had this booming voice like Kate Smith's" ------ Patsy Cline 1957

Patsy Cline recorded her final song, "I'll Sail My Ship Alone" on Feb. 7th 1963. Patsy would die in a plane crash 26 days later.
All of Patsy's cowgirl outfits were made by her mother Hilda.
Patsy was seven months pregnant with her second child Randy when she recorded "I Fall To Pieces" Nov. 16th 1960.
Patsy hated "Walking After Midnight" so much, she only agreed to record it if she was allowed to pick the song for the flip side. Patsy got her wish and recorded "A Poor Man's Roses" on Nov. 8th 1956.
Patsy loved to cook. Her specialty's were pork chop stuffing, glazed and smoked country hams & mashed potatoes. Patsy's cooking was legendary around Nashville.
Because of extreme exhaustion Patsy was told by several doctors that under no circumstances was she to work for at least two weeks. Risking a physical and mental breakdown, Patsy recorded "She's Got You" the next day.
Patsy's middle name "Patterson" was actually her mother's maiden name.
At seven years of age Patsy had her first and only piano lesson. According to her piano teacher, Patsy had such a natural gift for music she could not be taught.. Patsy played by ear from a very young age.
Patsy co-wrote two songs during her career. "A Stranger in My Arms" & "Don't Ever Leave Me Again". Both in 1957
On August 17, 1961 Patsy was still recovering from a near fatal car crash Because of broken ribs Patsy could not hit the high note on "Crazy". Owen Bradley (Patsy's producer) suggested she try a less demanding song. "The Wayward Wind" was eventually chosen. Four days later Patsy would record a flawless version of "Crazy" on the first take while on crutches.
Patsy's hit "Crazy" is the number one jukebox selection of all time
Patsy's favorite soft drink was Dr. Pepper.
Patsy always called Elvis Presley "Big Hoss".

God picked up a flower and dipped it in dew, He lovingly touched it,
& it turned into you and then he gifted it to me and said this friend is for you.
Have a beautiful day, dear Hoss! May God Bless You always!
Love and Hugs, ReeCee. xoxoxox
