The gardeners of the garden.
The physicist Enrico Fermi once suggested that "If aliens exist they would be here!" Given that alien life is more than likely we have to ask why aren't they here? One reason may be religion. Many sci-fi writers suggest one answer to the so called Fermi paradox, in which the advanced alien community has cordoned off the earth in a galactic nursery, until the time that we have reached an adequate stage, ready for contact. They came and they told us who we are. But because we are AROGANT, we need to lead, need to have leaders. These leaders think that they know better than all the '2nd class citizens' and they 'creating' our reality of life. We need weapons to kill others, we need money to feel above others. Todays world: you CAN if you have money, you CAN if you have weapons. Not otherwise. So there we are, 2009 years since we started counting years again: arogant and stupid. We destroy today with promise to think tomorrow. We put material value in front of life itself. We believe that we know better than anyone else, therefore we don't listen. We believe that we can see everything that exist, therefore we won't open our eyes to unknown. We literally reject to see for the reason of fear, the fear which we lost by living in safe, comfortable and NOT SUSTAINABLE world. The world is small, our EGOS are getting big and THE COST IS EVERYTHING WE HAVE, EVERYTHING WE ARE. We are dangerous and dangerous again. We don't know who we are, we dont know why we are. SO WE DON'T CARE. What would make us to REALLY THINK? What would make us to sort our values? What would make us to UNDERSTAND LIFE? Let's see. |

I fear my answer may be mundane but I would truly like to see peace in this world. My biggest personal dream is to become a successful author/writer. :o) Thanks that was a very sweet question.

this because of the fact that Earthlings split the atom some 10 years previously. "Oh?", says the biggest one,
"And when did they invent space-travel?", "They haven't yet.." is the answer "What? You mean to say they've been doing it on the surface of their OWN planet?!? And with that he presses a button and the Earth melts |

ha, accepted with pleasure, what a treasure-trove of enlightened thought youve got here mate. Nice Richard Feynman pic, mine is less sparkling with intelligence (it's me)
not too sure about the aliens are here thing in your second playlist description, but agree with the arrogance criticism. Theres this Arthur C. Clarke short-story from 1955, called something like Silly Buggers. In it, the aliens in charge of the universe are sitting around when one of them wonders if planet "Earth" is eligible to enter the Galactic Federation. |
