About Me:
It's customary to gives a description of yourself here so why not? If I had to sum myself up it would be in a paragraph much like the following.
I'm an annoying, somewhat misanthropic, geeky, gothic, liberal/libertarian leaning centrist, a bit of a geek, and worst of all an evil logic and reason oriented atheist. Love me, hate me, want me, shun me. I'm not all that concerned with what you think of me.
I'm fairly overactive much of the time which for many people can get to be a real drain on the sanity. So most people think of me as annoying. I don't intend to be hyper, I'm simply wired that way.
Personally, I think most humans try to do good. I know they have their "hearts" in the right place it's just their brains they need to work on.
On the nolan chart I'd be dead on the top left corner of the centrist box. So take that as you wish.
Yes you read that correctly, I am a geek and something of a goth. hate everyone and born with a natural wit, not sure on how good that combination is.
I have been an atheist since about the age of 13. Until then I had been a devout christian. I did what the bible said (other than the blood sacrifices and killing and raping of my enemies and their women) I reread the bible on that fateful year. My philosophy is that nothing will make you an atheist quicker than reading the bible.
Unfortunately I live in the middle of Jesusland (Indiana) so things don't work out to well with me being as I am.
I will gladly discuss pretty much any topic with really anyone; especially philosophy, and I shall do so all the while intending to keep a cordial manner to the other individual.
I greatly enjoy science. I find the universe and the natural world to be awestricking at points. I'm particularly interested in astronomy. The universe is simply amazing, that's all that can be said. If you don't agree than gtfo of it.

(bands in no particular order) Deicide, Avenged Sevenfold, Dark Lunacy, Amon Amarth, Blood Stain Child, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Lamb of God, Three Days Grace, God Dethroned, Disturbed, At the Gates. However I also greatly enjoy classical music.
Books:
I recently read Lord of the Flies and I loved it beyond reason. To kill a mockingbird would receive an definate recommendation. George Orwell is not but a genious. Almost anything by Stephen King, Several books by Dawkins, intend to read a few other atheist books, Harry Potter, really anything that isn't an idiotic romance novel I'll read it. As for poetry i am more often found buried in the works of Poe than Shakespeare. I like dark poetry and although it is very difficult to get a dark moment captured in a haiku they are one of my favorite forms of poetry.
