I was a professor of biology. I am currently writing curriculum for Native high school students that merges Western science and traditional ecological knowledge. This involves designing new classes for the public schools in Alaska and adding culturally relevant sections to existing science curricula. I was a professor at the Sheldon Jackson College, and an adjunct at the University of Alaska in Juneau. I have taught a wide variety of courses including Invertebrate Zoology, Marine Biology, Oceanography, Marine Ecology, Fishery Science, Introduction to Selection Theory, Introduction to Human Evolution, and Geology. The last course I taught was a summer course, Natural History of Alaska.
I am very active in the evolution/creation discussion. I collect and read/watch all creation videos and literature, "know thy enemy..." I believe that this is, directly and indirectly, the most important issue facing this country's future in education, science, and technology.
