I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in 77 and in 1991 with my moms kidney I underwent a life-saving kidney transplant. The transplant was very successful 12-4-10, I will celebrate 19 years with my kidney, My transplant does not define who I am, but it has certainly helped to shape me into the person that I am. I have an even deeper appreciation for life, family, and friends. Although my life had great purpose and clarity before I became sick and received my kidney, the experience reinforced everything that I believed in - how to live life, how to treat people, how to appreciate everything, and how to always think positively. I finally get to live life like a "normal" person, do what I want with out medical limitations, travel and meet amazing people. thank you for visiting my page.
