This video in no way suggests that Manny Pacquiao is for sure on steroids. That being said, when you have 40 million dollars on the table, why would you pass up giving into random Olympic Style Drug Tests just to prove you are clean when the question has been raised about the integrity of your performance?
The big question is, why do many people frown on Floyd for wanting an "even playing field"? This statement that Floyd wants to make sure that Manny Pacquiao isn't on steroids is actually the ultimate compliment because Floyd believes Manny is so good, that he wants to ensure there's no funny stuff going on.
The ones who should really be mad are the Manny Pacquiao fans. I mean I'm not thrilled as a boxing fan that this fight hasn't happened yet, but, when Manny Pacquiao passes up the chance to totally clear his name, and passes up the chance to fight a guy that clearly you "guys" hate (for the most part), just because he doesn't want to take Olympic style drug testing, it should piss you off.
If Muhammad Ali had demanded that Joe Frazier take random Olympic style drug tests, Joe Frazier would have cut his own arm open to give blood just for the chance to fight the best.
Let's face it, Floyd Money Mayweather's fights draw more pay per view buys than any other boxer in this era. His fights double the buys that Manny's bring. So really Floyd is in the driver's seat.
Also often overlooked is the fact that Manny Pacquiao keeps making weak excuses as to why he wont take the testing program. Shane Mosley had no problem taking the tests and he proved that he was a 100% clean fighter going into his fight with Floyd.
Manny Pacquiao is demanding that the fight takes place in Texas, with no say from Floyd. Manny Pacquiao is demanding a $10,000,000.00 penalty if Floyd comes in even 1 pound over weight. So, out of the pocket demands are being made on both sides.
Bob Arum is truly the real problem because he made it impossible for Floyd Mayweather to fight Miguel Cotto and Margarito. Now Bob Arum has his prize Manny Pacquiao and he's getting in the way of this fight happening as well.
If Albert Pujols demanded that the rest of Major League Baseball do Olympic Style drug testing programs, or he will quit the Major's, while agreeing to do the tests, he would be viewed as a hero. Floyd for some reason has been viewed as anything but a hero for his stance on steroids.
One last fact, Freddie Roach trained James Toney who used steroids while being trained by Freddie. Freddie currently claims to "know nothing" about steroids, but when Toney was caught with steroids in his system, Roach's exact quote was "we thought it was out of his system". That's quite a quote from someone who "doesn't know anything about steroids".
It's my take, take it or leave it.
