There are still plenty of cds being sold aswell as downloads being sold (which is allowing back catalogue songs to get into the charts so it's not all negative to the record labels). In the uk at least, there have been quite a lot of cds being given away free with newspapers etc., including new releases from established artists (with tour dates given on the back). They are choosing to give whole albums away to get a wider fanbase so there must be some good money in the tours and t-shirts etc.

Yes - it is a 'life changing' book. With this free audiobook you can carry it around even easier by putting it on an ipod or other mp3 player :-)

The nero site does mention Vista in the system requirements details so it looks as though they think it should work on it. Perhaps download their free trial and try it out first. I have not used any other burning utilities, but I would imagine that they all work pretty much in the same way so it probably wouldn't really matter which one you chose to use.

I am not the industry 'experts' who featured in these audiobooks but from my basic understanding of things, if you stop gigging and stop writing songs, then your likelihood of creating demand for your album are likely to be greatly reduced.
