Classic rock and roll, science fiction, action movies, spending time doing anything with my awesome family, coaching my kids in sports, hiking and camping, watching football (any team, any level). I like people who think for themselves and don't let society decide what or who they should be. That, in my book, is cowardice. But I'm also not about pushing my views in other people's faces. This site is not about controversy or hatred. I can't put up with racism, sexism, or people who argue a point without bothering to learn the facts behind their position. We should all believe in things, but for God's sake do your research and don't believe out of ignorance! No excuse for that. And saying you believe something just because you were raised that way is one of the worst excuses in my book. Do your research and make up your own mind. Ignorance is NOT bliss. It's just plain ignorant. Another turnoff is blind patriotism. Love your country, but learn what's good and bad about her. Just like your kids - you love them no mater what but you'd better know what they're not so good at or you'll be of no use to them in life. I believe other countries and people are just as intelligent and worthy as Americans, and I can't stand when Americans assume we're the biggest and best thing around. Historically, every great nation or empire found out that, in the end, they were no better or worse than anyone else. Pride DEFINITELY goes before the fall - and I'm hoping America isn't falling anytime soon. Turn-offs: guys telling other guys what's cool or macho and what's not. I watch and do what I want and don't give a damn what other men consider guy stuff. For example, I think Desperate Housewives is funny as hell. I can't stand men who hurt women, children, or animals. There's no excuse for that kind of behavior. Get a grip on your anger or go live in the woods where you can't hurt no one.

Movies: The Matrix Trilogy, The Outsiders TV: Anything science fiction with time travel, LOST. I'm fed up with same ol' murder-mystery-cop-show. I like shows with some creativity and imagination.
