We visited the Danish Street Lawyers and the Drug Users Union and produced these films - one on "Street lawyering" - providing low threshold services like needle exchange or legal advise to drug users, and another film on the upcoming heroin prescription program in Copenhagen.
HCLU had the honour to work in cooperation with the Swedish Drugs Users Union, in the framework of the European Drug policy Initiative (EDPI). With their help, we could make these films for you, on why there is still no needle and syringe exchange program in Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden the self proclaimed "champion of human rights". In these films you can also learn how prohibitionist drug policy failed in Sweden.
In 2009 the United Nations gathered to discuss the past ten yearsof global drug control. Did they learn from their mistakes? Not at all- they committed themsleves to a drug free world again. Watch our films and witness how it happens - how civil society protests outside while delegates sleep inside!
