Just dropped by to say hello and give you my best wishes.
See it's people like you & RTD who can't tell the difference between a soap opera & a sci-fi.
Please read what I say, I said New-Who doesn't have SCIENCE FICTION in it, not the science doesn't make sense.
You haven't really watched the original as their families are mentioned & are in it, but only during the short time they are on earth before they meet the Doctor & have adventures outside of that time and that space, instead of just returning to the same time (2007), the same place (Cardiff), to meet the same people (Rose's family) even though they've got an entire universe to choose from -- Yeah, that's REALLY realistic, right? That is soooo REALISTIC.
He's explained on many occasions how come they doesn't change history, he even says it in the new series again (Fires of Pompei).
All of the new ones have ridiculously large plot-holes e. g.:
Silence in the Library for instance: it was about a girl who really loved books and was given the largest library in existence, but apparently she spends all her time in the DVD section cuz every shot we see of her she's zapping through some TV channels.
Which is better: the original Star Wars or the new one? Same as Doctor Who.
If you enjoy seeing & hearing the same banal rubbish over & over again then you'll love series 6.
New-Who is just another contribution to the dumbing-down of British television and the Americanization and commercialization of the BBC. I am a Dr. Who fan, but I can't say that nowadays without people getting the wrong idea and thinking that I like to cry about repetitious, shallow story lines, am sexually attracted to the main characters and am fascinated by video game graphics and Danny Elfman-style orchestrated music.
