Gary Davis is a Nashville, TN based songwriter, singer, guitarist, producer and author who has worked with quite a diverse gathering of music greats in his colorful and storied career, including; Greg Allman, Lynn Anderson, Hoyt Axton, Randy Bachman, Delaney Bramlett, Lenny Breau, Tim Buckley, Leonard Cohen, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Mickey Gilley, Alan Ginsberg, Jack Greene, Lee Greenwood, Tim Hardin, Lightin' Hopkins, Rickie Lee Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Gordon Lightfoot, Delbert McClinton, Roger McQuinn, Carl Perkins, Jim Stafford, Dan Seals, Ray Stevens, Billy Swan, B.J. Thomas, Dave Van Ronk, Randy Van Warmer, Townes Van Zandt, Muddy Waters, Jesse Winchester and an absolute cavalcade of others...

He was also a part of the team that launched, CMTV, the Country Music Televison Network in 1983.

Namesake of 80's pop/rock band, Davis Deluxe whose all-star line-up featured such famed Nashville session players as, drummer, Kenny Buttrey, (Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Elvis, Jimmy Buffett, Dan Fogleberg, Bob Seeger) guitarist, Bucky Barrett, (Ray Charles, Neil Young, Roy Orbison, Nicolette Larson) and bassist, Steve Carmen, (Joe Cocker, George Harrison, Peter Frampton, Gladys Knight)...
