I started this site in order to keep in touch with my grandparents and other family members, that is why there are so many videos of my skating practices, so they can see what I'm doing. Also so my friends(and others) can see my progress(if there is any :D)
About Me:
 
I am 18 and I've been skating since 2006.

I do have a chronic illness, that most of the time, gets in the way of things that I want, things that I want to do. But I won't let it get in the way of my skating. My skating is the one thing my illness can't control. Well.. I guess it does control whether I pass out on the ice or not.. hmm. let's rephrase this:

Being sick, constantly having obstacles in my life, doesn't change my love for my sport, nor does it diminish my passion or my desire to skate well and learn new things. It may control how I feel physically, but mentally, it will never defeat me.

I love my friends and would be lost without them. I am so thankful for everyone that watches my videos every weeks. you guys rock and thank you so much for being there for me through all this, it means a lot to me to have support from other skaters. keep skating and.. be happy. Just.. live.

Laura, you look about my age. a few days ago i was diagnosed and they do not yet know how long Ive had it but they know it has been some time now. I am going through what you went through before and your vid has helped me because i dont know what to expect. doctors are leaving me in the dark as to what will happen. I believe I may end up like you because of our similar simptoms. That is a far step from what I have been having nightmares about and what the doctors say could be in my future. I am scared bc I have no idea about what will happen to me. I have alot more tests to do before i will get an idea of how long ive had it I am going to see a neuroligist, ive had tons of bloodwork, and now I am on oral anti biotics and have discussed the pcc drip method with my doctor. I still have an mri, and a spinal tap to go through. Take in mind this has all happened within the coarse of this week. Just thought i would share my similarities.
