Hey, loved your review of the Curse of Fenric - Great that you talk about the change of the jacket, and the symbolic change in the 7th doctor! From that episode (or maybe Battlefield as you say) the 7th becomes a great great doctor, and up until his appearance in the 1996 movie where he's significantly darker and companion-less. The 7th then morphs from the dandyish trickster to a woeful dark combatent at his enigmatic best - remember it must have been the 7th who symbolically bedecked the TARDIS in candles. It's too bad this doctor wasn't the doctor of the 7ths previous series as he would have been amongst the best doctors.
