The children's film Rango contains allegorical references to many famous classic movies such as High Plains Drifter, Apocalypse Now and 2001: A Space Odyssey. But the film's references to Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior are more subtle, yet thematically important regarding the film's oil war themes.
