Don't let anybody fool you. There is no chance that Kobe is better than Jordan, Jordan has the stats, accolates, impact on the game, and everything that Kobe wished he had. Rule changes helped athletical wing players like Kobe score more points. This "Zone (watered down) D" was put in place, because scoring (and ratings) dipped. Better athletes in today's game, but worse fundamentals. No handchecking and a defensive 3-sec rule make it easier to move. Double-teaming people without the ball (illegal D back in Jordan's day) allows people with the ball more open shots. I think you get the point :).
